乔治·韦尔斯，Son of vaudevillian Billy K. Wells. He studied at New York University and began as a writer for radio ('The Jack Pearl Show','Lux Radio Theater'), coming under contract to MGM in 1943 as a screenwriter. He soon acquired a reputation for his deft touch and inventiveness in light comedy and musicals.
