Rodney Grier，Rod excelled in Art and Athletics at EAST DENVER HIGH SCHOOL. Lettering in Football as an Offensive Guard and on the Track Team as a "Discus" thrower for East High when they won the State Championship in Track and Field. He majored and excelled in Art Classes as well.
