Frédéric Dard was born on June 29, 1921 in Bourgoin-Jallieu, Isère, France. He was a writer and director, known for Le dos au mur (1958), Les scélérats (1960) and Le fauve est lâché (1959). He was married to Françoise de Caro and Odette Damaisin. He died on June 6, 2000 in Bonnefontaine, Jura, France.
