Catherine Marshall was the wife of Peter Marshall, the minister who served as Chaplain to the Senate for several years in the late 1940s. He died suddenly from a heart attack in 1949, leaving Catherine and their young son, Peter J. Marshall. Catherine wrote his biography, and discovered a love for and an ability to write.
