Ian Thorne was born in 1924 in London, England as Ian Temple Athol Thorne. He was a writer and actor, known for Henry VIII and His Six Wives (1972), Boswell's Life of Johnson (1971) and BBC Show of the Week (1965). He was married to Corinna Mary Constance Bruce and Kate Owen. He died on November 24, 1977 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
