尼娜·门克斯,"ina Menkes is an independent filmmaker.[1]:202[2]:82 Her films include The Great Sadness of Zohara (1983), Magdalena Viraga (1986), Queen of Diamonds (1991), The Bloody Child (1996), Phantom Love (2007) and Dissolution (2010), which was filmed in black and white and is set in Israel.[3][4] Her sister Tinka appears as an actress in many of them.[3] Menkes teaches at the California Institute of the Arts in Santa Clarita, California.[3] Several of her works were added to the Academy Film Archive, including Queen of Diamonds, which was selected in 2018 to be restored by Martin Scorsese's The Film Foundation with funding from the George Lucas Family Foundation.[5] In November, that restoration was screened as part of the \"Cinematic Legacy\" series at the 2018 AFI Fest.[6]"
