Atticus Cain's introduction to acting came in 1988, during his junior year of high school, when he was recruited to substitute for a fellow student in a play. After graduating, he advanced to local theater, appearing in seven roles ranging from Shakespeare to Guare between 1990 and 1993. He moved to Pittsburgh in 1995.
