Alicja Jaworski Björk was born in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, in 1955. In Warsaw she studied architecture in 1975-1979 and worked in the animation studio in 1981-1982. In 1983 Björk moved to Sweden and joined the PennFilm Studio in 1985.
