LaVita Brooks was born on January 24, 1976 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was raised by her paternal grandparents who provided her with love and stability. Even as a child, she knew that she needed acting as a creative outlet. The stages at Magnolia Elementary, Airways Jr. High and Hamilton High Schools were the canvas for her art.
