Krasimir Kostov was born on 22 October 1944 in Stara Zagora. He graduated in Cinematography from the State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), Moscow in 1972. Assistant camera at Boyana Feature Film Studios (1965) and cameraman since 1972.
