Sharlene Rochard was born in London, Ontario Canada to Sharon Jamieson a singer her father Lennox Rochard an electrician. Her mother is white (she was adopted and does not know her ancestry) and her father is black and Portuguese from Trinidad. Sharlene has said she is "mixed" because she does not know her exact ancestry.
