Ysrael Szumacher was born in 1908 in Lódz, Poland, Russian Empire [now Lódz, Lódzkie, Poland]. He was an actor and writer, known for Unzere Kinder (1951), Freylikhe kabtsonim (1937) and Al khet (1936). He died on May 21, 1961 in Tel Aviv, Israel.
