The 101 is a comedy series that follows Royal Schott, a UCLA Freshman and singer songwriter from the Midwest just starting her Hollywood career and her roommate, Scarlet, a 17 year old emancipated former child star who is trying to resurrect her career. With their manager, Jay D, they learn that life's lessons aren't always found in a textbook as they juggle auditions with school, work and all the behind the scenes action that goes on in the truth is stranger than fiction world of making it in Hollywood.
