The love story of the humble Maria de la Luz and the rich Esteban Olivares. After an accident Esteban ends up with amnesia that erases some parts of his life. He has forgotten his love Maria de la Luz. While his mother sends Esteban to America to finish his education, Maria de la Luz is pregnant with his child. She gives birth to a son, named Sebastian. Alejandro, a friend of Esteban offers Maria de la Luz his support and proposes marriage to her.
