Sharpening awareness of our interdependence, these short film portraits of workers involved in different areas of the food service industry ask us to imagine an alternative economy that values the natural world; that gives priority to the full development of the human person; that promotes a wide sense of human community; and that addresses the dynamics of what constitutes human happiness. With a focus on restaurant workers, many of whom are profiled in Saru Jayaraman's book "Behind the Kitchen Door" published by Cornell University Press (February 2013).
