Sandhya had always dreamt of becoming a police officer. She was fearless and forthright and made it her life's aim to fight the ills of society. Her father encouraged her dream and just when it was within her reach, tragedy strikes. Her parents pass away. Her brother marries her off into a family of confectioners where women only work in the kitchen. She becomes part of a family that required her to be a housewife and within a matter of days; her life had turned Topsy-turvy. With a heavy heart, she decides to give up her dreams and aspirations, but her confectioner husband; Suraj gets to know about her dream and her sacrifice for the sake of his family. Although only semi-literate, Suraj felt the burning desire within Sandhya to follow her dreams and achieve her goals of becoming a police officer. Despite everything that stood in his way, Suraj decides to support her in her journey.
