Christine is a poor young waitress raised with love and care by her mother, Toyang. A loving daughter, Christine dreams that one day all the sufferings she and her mother currently endures will end. And she wishes that she will be able to do so, with the help of her boyfriend Rod. But Christine's happy days are limited when Toyang discovers her relationship with Rod, the promiscuous jeepney driver. Toyang throws Christine out for disobeying her, marking the beginning of more sacrifices and suffering for Christine.
