Each game would pair 1 celebrity with a professional bowler. Two celebrities and their professional bowling partners, would bowl for a cash prize of $5,000 for an accredited college or university. In each frame, celebrities bowled first, then the professional bowled the second ball. The setup of the game was the standard 10 frames. There was an opportunity to win an extra $1,000 for the college: certain frames had a blue pin; if the celebrity hit the blue pin, $1,000 was added to the $5,000 prize only if they won the match. The winning team's college received $5,000. The losing team's college received $2,500.
