“Give me money! Give me money! Hey Mr. Amor, give me my money!” Hurucut is a migrant worker from Uzbekistan and have been working for 2 years at a furniture factory in Kyungido Pocheon. On 22nd January 2002, Hurucut and his other migrant co-workers refused to work as a protest against their overdue wages. Although they had stopped working but did not know how to make strike go on, so they sent delegations to Bucheon migrant workers’ house and asked them for help. 3 activists were told that there were 90 migrant workers in the factory. The activists regarded the situation emergency, so they immediately joined the strike in the evening of the day. The workers and activists made a negotiation agenda, had 3 times of night-long negotiations with the company, but failed to reach an agreement. On 24th January, the company finally accepted workers’ demands and workers enjoyed their victory. 2 months later, the company went bankrupt, and ran away without paying 2 months of payments.
