Restaurant owner Per Holmqvist turned grim after the last annual elk hunting trip with life-long buddies Lars, Ingvar and Magnus, barely rejoicing over wife Johanna's pregnancy, refusing to discuss his trauma. After his corpse washes up on the beach, drowned earlier, Robert and Thomas believe the mates agreed on a fictive story. *Robert learns something from Ingvar and Lars's wives, searches the forest camp site, learns in a nearby inn there was a backpacker girl from Stockholm, since missing. Rumors abound on Gotland about the suspect hunting mates, Annika even turns against banker husband Lars, while flirting with Robert. Ingvar's wife ponders coming clean about a video that may incriminate her husband. Ultimately, the scared men become deadly enemies.
