简介

Pula povjerljivo is one of the possible histories of the Pula film festival, told through the talks of the authors with some of the people who marked the first fifty years of the festival. The film inconspicuously tries to shed light on the circumstances in which the festival was formed, its becoming the biggest cultural event of the deceased state of Yugoslavia, the attempts of the organizers and film makers to be in tune with the changes that shook the society at the time, and finally the changes of the festival itself after the independence of Croatia. Pula povjerljivo attempts to describe not only the film context, but also the political context within which the festival functioned, as well as how much the status of film in society changed. Documentary about the history of Yugoslavian Film Festival in Pula and ex-Yu cinema in general. Produced by HTV Croatian Television. The festival was originally started in 1954 and within a few years it became the centerpiece event of the Yugoslav film industry, with first national awards being presented in 1957. This lasted until 1991, when the festival was canceled due to the breakup of Yugoslavia. The festival has been held annually in monumental antique Roman amphitheater known as the Pula arena. Many legends of ex-Yu cinema were interviewed here: Marijan Rotar, Fadil Hadžić, Milan Luks, Ivo Škrabalo, Milena Dravić, Antun Vrdoljak, Dejan Kosanović, Sulejman Sofić, Ljubiša Samardžić, Neda Arnerić, Mate Relja, Dalio Rajković, Krsto Papić, Zdravko Randić, Vatroslav Mimica, Zvonimir Berković, Gordan Mihić, Veljko Bulajić, Nenad Polimac, Stipe Šuvar, Bata Čengić, Rudolf Rojnić, Rade Šerbedžija, Milena Zupančič, Relja Bašić, Gorka Ostojić-Cvajner, Ivo Gregurević, Vinko Brešan...
