El disputado voto del Sr. Cayo" is a novel by Miguel Delibes, published in 1978, which tells of the meeting of two very different ways of living: the young people who come to make political campaign deserted village of Castile and the "Sr. Cayo" (Francisco Rabal), one of two villagers. Delibes dealt perform theater reviews his first stint as an editor at the newspaper "El Norte de Castilla" and maybe that's why many of his novels have been made into films. This admiration was mutual, and many meetings together came a friendship between the writer and performer, remembering that Delibes wrote a biography of the actor of Murcia. And although Rabal was excited about this project finally was not carried out.
