The main character Luka is a somewhat eccentric engineer who builds a tunnel between the Balkans and the rest of the world. Luka's wife is Jadranka - the singer who suffers from a sincere disease. Their son Milos dreams to become a football player, however he hasn't enough talent for a game. The strange family gradually breaks up: the wife runs, the son is taken away in army, the father goes deep into a tunnel binding different cultures further and further - Whether the difficult, artful conflict of fathers and children will be resolved? Whether the new woman of the father can become an obstacle in the relations with the son? Whether will win against love, or powerlessly hungry heart thirsty for love, against the barriers established by society?
