The long closed Molly's Reach, the diner located in the iconic but crumbling building on Gibsons, BC's waterfront, is imminently scheduled to be demolished by its part owner, Chuckchee Properties, the actual person behind Chuckchee who has decided to remain anonymous. That person is to whoever former but now deceased half owner, Relic Phillips, sold or deeded his part ownership. This move to demolish does not sit well with many who have just returned to Gibsons. Donna McGonigal, who grew up in Gibsons, is the other half owner, it given to her as a graduation present by her slightly shady father, Dave McGonigal, who bought that half from Relic in a get-rich-quick scheme which didn't pay off. Donna knew nothing about the demolition, but doesn't care just as long as she can sell her interest in the property.
