When Runner Dell tries to break up with girlfriend Evelyn at the Diner where she works, a phone call from a friend alerts him that Evelyn is instead expecting a marriage proposal. Runner then seeks life advice from his friends, his Grandfather, even his estranged father. Meanwhile Evelyn opens up to Runner`s best friend Shane who has always been attracted to her. She flees Shane`s grasp and runs to meet Runner at the town play "American Dill." A twist awaits Runner afterwards as we wonder who he`ll go for, his sexy ex or his old standby - or a mix of both.
