The heute-journal went on 2 January 1978 to broadcast. First, the heute-journal was aired Mondays to Thursdays at 21 pm and Fridays at 22 o`clock with a transmission length of 20 minutes. From 1 January 1984, the broadcast date was uniformly laid on 21:45 (playing inconsistently). The program was established in 1991 extended to 30 minutes. Since 1992, the magazine is also broadcast Saturdays; since 2000 also on Sundays.
