Neil Hamilton is a silk manufacturer on a Seattle-to-New York train to deliver an important shipment for his company. He's got to face Arthur Hohl, the leader of some unscrupulous businessmen who want to corner the silk market. On the train are the usual slice-of-life people including Guy Kibbee, a railroad detective, Dudley Digges, an ailing professor going to New York's Rockefeller Institute, and Sheila Terry, his daughter.
