Agnieszka Bergman is a young girl whose father is the secretary of the Central Committee. One day, during her stay in the mountains, her father visits her and gets into discussions with her friends. Soon after, the March demonstrations begin in Poland. Agnieszka and her boyfriend join the strikers. The girl is stopped, but she manages to escape. Meanwhile, one of their colleagues confesses the names of the conspirators to the militia. Agnieszka's boyfriend has to run away. As a result of the girl's behavior, her father is removed from the post. Agnieszka's boyfriend decides to flee abroad, and the girl with him.
