With her dreams crumbling and surrounded by violence, aspiring singer Shelley tries to escape an abusive relationship with the help of Jay, ex-music producer, with demons of his own to face. Together, they begin the difficult task of facing hard realities, but when life finally offers Shelley a break, her abusive partner steps in to smash those dreams, once and for all.
