Five years after moving to San Francisco to start a new life, Eve comes face to face with her dark past. While helping her patient, Karen, deal with her abusive boyfriend, Eve feels an unusual affinity with her in that she finds similarities between their lives. Both of them are victims of domestic violence. After a series of iconic intrusions begins to invade her life, Eve realizes she is not as safe as she thought she was. She finds out that there is someone that won't go away easily and won't let her forget.
