"Beyond The Living" follows Brandon, who is having difficulty adjusting to society. To escape, he spends the summer hiking the southeast with his best friends, Claire and Krishna. Days turn into weeks and Brandon's mind sinks further into anxiety and fear deteriorating the veil between our world and the world of death. Through hallucinations Brandon journeys deeper into the otherworld until it crashes into our own existence and the three hikers find themselves fighting for their lives.
