Two singers, conservatory's fellows are at the unemployment office where they accept a job as museum guards. Their love anxieties and frustrations will be wiped away by songs and music. The baritone sacrifices his powerful voice for love, while the tenor succumbs to the charms of a despot director who has her own idea of how to run a museum.
