Stoine has been called up and is on his way to the barracks accompanied by his father Rangel. Some tanks appear. Rangel watches them. Rangel leaves Stoine in the hands of sergeant mayor and promises to buy a tank for his son. At home he takes a small money bag from a chest. In the bank a clerk counts the money for the rearmament of the country... The hatches of one tank open and Rangel and Stoine appear. The father begins to fire with a machine gun... But all this turns to be a dream - Rangel's wife funds him clutching the bedstead. Rangel tells her everything about the "tortoise". The two beam with satisfaction.
