Angelo Musco and his sister, Rosina Anselmi, are the wealthiest people in the Sicilian town in which they live, but are provincial in that they have never been to Rome or any large city. Mario Pisu, their nephew, is studying in Rome, gets into trouble and Musco and Anselmi travel to Rome to his rescue.
