Following the death of his wife, a world-travelling reporter decides to leave the hustle and bustle of the big city behind, packs up his kids and moves to a quiet little town in Wisconsin, where he takes a job as a columnist in the local paper. His kids don`t adjust so well to the move, and his former boss is constantly showing up to try and talk him into coming back, but as he begins to get into the swing of things, he grows accustomed to his new home.
