After losing everything in his life, Alferd Tannen is forced to live on the streets. Although his spirits are broken, his true love of baseball remains. Hes taken it upon himself to organize a misfit group of individuals to form a baseball team. They periodically play other homeless teams and the neighborhood children to the dismay of the local authorities. Henry, a teen boy living at home, grows tired of his fathers unreasonable demands and decides its time to split. While roaming aimlessly, he accidentally comes across the homeless baseball teams and volunteers to lend his knowledge and skills to the losing band of men. Alfred takes Henry under his wing and shows him the ropes. However, a pursuing cop duo and Henrys persistent father lurk around every corner in order to put a stop to the league.
